[Brazilian Artist (based in Sao Paulo)]
Simões went to architecture school and the Polytechnic University of Milan, thus his work are influenced by his architectural and design background. His work has been exhibited globally from Brazil to the United States.
For past few year, he is has been experimenting with a range of different materials, concrete, maps, wax, silicon and photographs. Hence today I’ll be looking into Simões photography work, despite using a lot of different kind of materials his ways of processing and presenting the artwork is somehow creative. He cuts, burns, layers, reshapes, distort or even dilutes them.
The above images are some of Simões work that I find it interesting, the diversity of the work are unique and individual. To carrying on with the artist research I’ll be experimenting and interpreting the element of his work it into my style.
